PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A number of Bandung City Regional Apparatus (PD) immediately handled the collapse of a section of road in the Jalan Siliwangi area, Saturday (14/9/2024).

It was previously reported that there was a landslide that caused the road to collapse, precisely at the Babakan Siliwangi Bridge at 11.45 WIB.

Head of Bandung City PB Diskar Gun Gun Sumaryana ensured that the collaboration of a number of Bandung City PDs to accelerate telecommunications and electricity services will continue to run.

Meanwhile, the Bandung City Water Resources and Highways Agency (DSDABM) is handling the problem by repairing the collapsed section of the road and installing temporary piles to ensure the continuity of telecommunications and electricity services.

"A number of efforts have been made by various OPDs. In addition, PLN and telecommunications providers have been present. Basically, we ensure that the electricity remains on, and telecommunications services are not disrupted," said Gun Gun when contacted by Bandung City Public Relations.

Until around 16:30 WIB, a one-lane engineering was implemented in the Jalan Siliwangi area. Gun Gun said that this engineering will be coordinated with the Bandung City Transportation Agency while waiting for a number of repair processes in the landslide area.

"After a number of repairs and telecommunications and electricity services are restored, we will coordinate with the Transportation Agency. If the Transportation Agency provides recommendations, perhaps traffic in the Jalan Siliwangi area can return to normal with two lanes," he said.

To avoid congestion, road users are temporarily advised to avoid Jalan Siliwangi because one lane is still closed.
