PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City National Narcotics Agency (BNN) held various educational and collaborative activities in commemoration of International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) 2026 to raise public awareness of the dangers of drug abuse. The First Expert Narcotics Counselor of the Bandung City BNN, Shofia Nurul Izzah, conveyed this in the Ngobrol Cageur program on Sonata Radio, Monday (22/6/2026), emphasizing the importance of collaboration between all elements of society in narcotics prevention efforts.

Shofia explained that HANI, which is commemorated every June 26, is a global momentum to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs through a series of activities before and after the peak of the commemoration.

"International Anti-Narcotics Day isn't just celebrated on June 26th. There are a series of activities before, during, and after the main commemoration. The main goal is to raise public awareness that the drug problem is a serious issue that must be addressed together," he said.

In 2026, the Bandung City BNN adopted the national theme "Building a Healthy, Smart, and Strong Generation Through the Shining Ananda Movement Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045" which emphasizes anti-drug education from an early age through the Shining Ananda movement.

Shofia stated that her team is actively conducting outreach to schools as an effort to promote a drug-free educational environment through the Prevention and Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) program.

"Since the beginning of the year, most of our activities have focused on schools. We encourage students and school administrators to participate in the anti-drug movement, whether through campaigns, outreach, or other creative activities," he said.

In addition to direct education, the Bandung City BNN also presents the innovative podcast "Narco Insight" through the Bandung City BNN YouTube channel, which features former rehabilitation clients as resource persons to provide insight into the recovery process.

"We want to provide insight into various issues related to narcotics from various perspectives. We hope that people who still have stigma or fear regarding rehabilitation can gain a better understanding," said Shofia.

The BNN confirmed that rehabilitation services can be accessed at the BNN Bandung City, Jalan Ciungwanara Number 12-B, Lb. Siliwangi, Coblong District, Bandung City, with the service contact 0857-9342-8153.

The First Expert Community Empowerment Activist of the Bandung City BNN, Sigit Firmansyah, added that the HANI 2026 series of activities also included a West Java-level badminton tournament participated in by the district/city BNN, in which the Bandung City BNN won second place.

He stated that the Bandung City BNN is also preparing collaborative educational activities based on experiential learning for students as well as Fun Zumba activities at the peak of the HANI commemoration in Bandung City with various partners.

In addition, Sobat Bersinar was also formed as a forum for the younger generation to become agents of change in the anti-drug movement in their respective environments.

Sigit Firmansyah also revealed plans to form an Anti-Narcotics Squad involving Scout members from various schools to strengthen early childhood education.

"Because our current priority is children and adolescents through the Ananda Bersinar program, we see the Scouts as an organization with a broad network and active involvement with the younger generation. Through Saka Anti Narcotics, we hope to instill the values of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle more strongly from an early age," he explained.

Through various educational programs, creative campaigns, and community involvement, the Bandung City BNN hopes that efforts to prevent drug abuse can become a joint movement to create a healthy, productive Indonesian generation that is ready to welcome the Golden Indonesia 2045.
