PORTALJABAR, CIANJUR REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi attended the Special Plenary Meeting of the Cianjur Regency DPRD in the context of the 349th Milangkala of Cianjur Regency which was held at the Cianjur Regency DPRD Building, Sunday (12/7/2026).

In his remarks, KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, advised the community to increase the level of education and increase educational services.

"People must go to school, now the government is open to encouraging its people to go to school," said KDM.

He also asked the Cianjur Regent to identify areas still far from government schools. School construction in these areas could be implemented through collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government and the Cianjur Regency Government.

"For example, land acquisition by the district government, construction by the province," he said.

When asked about the gifts the West Java Provincial Government presented to the Cianjur Regency Government at the 349th Milangkala this year, KDM stated that infrastructure development in Cianjur Regency was one such gift. For example, road construction in the Cikadu area.

KDM will also focus on developing the Puncak area, as has been done in the Cianter area of Subang Regency.

"We will consider where to relocate the traders, because relocating to that place again will make it dirty again," concluded KDM.

He also asked the Cianjur Regency Government to quickly complete the spatial planning process. He stated that Cianjur is an exotic and perfect region.

"Cianjur has mountains, sea, lakes, superior agricultural products, industrial areas, and food. Not all regions have the same facilities as Cianjur. It just needs to be managed, branded, and rebranded," he said.

KDM said that Cianjur has long been known as a special area, to the point that the song "Semalam di Cianjur" was created.

He also urged the people of Cianjur to continue improving cleanliness, which is the key to achieving progress.
