PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) is strengthening collaboration with the industrial sector to increase local workforce absorption.

Deputy Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, made a working visit to PT Epson and PT Aisin in the South Cikarang industrial area (14/4/2025).

This visit is part of the Bekasi District Government's efforts to strengthen synergy between the government and the business world, as well as encourage industry to prioritize local workers.

"We want to ensure that large industries in Bekasi Regency provide direct benefits to the community, especially in terms of employment opportunities. The local government is ready to be a liaison between the needs of the industry and the potential of the local workforce," said Asep after reviewing PT Aisin's production facilities in the East Jakarta Industrial Park area.

This program is included in the 100-day work of the Bekasi District Government to absorb aspirations and understand industry challenges in the recruitment and training process for workers.

Asep added that the Bekasi District Government is committed to opening up a broad dialogue space and facilitating training and certification so that the skills of the local workforce are in line with industry needs.

The Deputy Regent of Bekasi also appreciated PT Epson and PT Aisin for their contribution in absorbing local workers and hoped that more Bekasi residents would be involved in industrial operations in the future.

Acting Head of the Bekasi Regency Manpower Office (Disnaker), Nur Hidayah Setyowati, conveyed the importance of direct dialogue between the government and the business world to align perceptions in fulfilling the need for workers.

He suggested that companies utilize the Employment Information System (SIP Kerja) platform from the Department of Manpower to make it easier for job seekers to access vacancy information. (Diskominfosantik Bekasi/Fau)
