PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government submitted a Draft Regional Regulation on the Implementation of Tourism, Villages, and Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget in a plenary meeting of the Bekasi Regency DPRD (2/7/2026).

The three draft regional regulations were prepared to strengthen public services, governance, and support sustainable regional development.

Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, explained that the Draft Regional Regulation on Tourism Management serves as the legal basis for developing the tourism sector, which is capable of increasing investment, creating jobs, and encouraging regional economic growth.

"Tourism is a very broad sector, encompassing both industrial and local tourism. We will discuss this with community and religious leaders. We hope this will have an impact on increasing local revenue (PAD). Hopefully, with the new regulations, the tourism sector can make a positive contribution," he said.

The Draft Regional Regulation on Villages was prepared to adapt to changes in national regulations while strengthening governance, development, and empowerment of village communities.

These regulations include changes to the term of office of village heads, strengthening the authority of the Village Consultative Body, digitalization through the Village Information System, strengthening Village-Owned Enterprises, and sustainable village development.

The Bekasi Regency Government also submitted a Draft Regional Regulation concerning Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget based on the audit results of the Audit Board.

The report noted that regional revenue realization reached IDR 7.47 trillion or 94.14 percent of the target, while spending and transfer realization reached IDR 7.45 trillion or 89.48 percent.

Asep emphasized that the government will periodically evaluate the performance of regional apparatus to improve the quality of services to the public.

"Yesterday, I gathered all OPDs to conduct weekly assessments. I asked that their performance be evaluated weekly and reported to me monthly," he explained.

The Bekasi Regency Government hopes that the discussion of the three draft regional regulations will produce regulations that can meet the needs of the community and create an effective, transparent, and accountable government.
