PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government, together with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), launched the 2026 Statistics-Loving Village Program (Beautiful Village) in three villages to improve the quality of development data so that public service and village development policies are more targeted to the community.

The program targets Babelan Kota Village, Babelan District, Sukadanau Village, West Cikarang District, and Karangmekar Village, Kedungwaringin District.

The launch took place online at the Bekasi Regency Diskominfosantik Command Center Room, Central Cikarang (12/5/2026) and was attended by regional officials, sub-district heads, and village officials.

Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin said that accurate data is an important basis in determining development priorities and the use of regional budgets.

"Of course, this data is crucial because it forms the basis for development planning. For example, when constructing a road, the government must know the number of damaged roads in Bekasi Regency," said Endin.

According to him, accurate data helps the government determine development interventions according to community needs and regional budget capabilities.

Endin hopes that the Beautiful Village Program will provide direct benefits to the community through more targeted policies based on field data.

"We hope the Beautiful Village Program will directly benefit the community. Accurate and targeted data will certainly support local governments in formulating more informed policies," he said.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Central Statistics Agency, Krido Saptono, explained that the program is part of the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 39 concerning One Data Indonesia.

Through this program, village officials are trained to be able to manage data systematically, standardized, and sustainably to support decision-making at the village level.

"Through the Beautiful Village program, we are mentoring selected villages so that village officials will be able to manage standardized data, create village websites, compile village monographs, and use statistical data as a basis for making targeted policies," explained Krido.

The Bekasi Regency BPS also formed a village statistics agent to help disseminate data management literacy to other villages in the Bekasi Regency area.

Krido gave the example of Sukadanau Village, which is expected to become a reference and share experiences with other villages in managing statistical-based data.

The Beautiful Village Program is also aimed at supporting the collection of Economic Census data and updating the National Socio-Economic Single Data so that government assistance and programs are more appropriately targeted to recipients.
