PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government is inviting fathers to be more active in supporting their children's growth and development through the commemoration of the 33rd National Family Day at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza (29/6/2026).
This commemoration is an effort to build families capable of producing healthy, character-based generations who are ready to face the challenges towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin said that a father's role is not only as a breadwinner, but also as the main companion in raising children.
"The 33rd Harganas encourages fathers to care for their families, especially their children. Don't let children become a burden on their mothers," said Endin.
He explained that simple communication at home, such as during mealtimes, can strengthen the relationship between parents and children and build positive character.
In addition, Endin reminded the importance of supervising gadget use so that it does not interfere with children's learning process or social interactions.
"They need to be limited in terms of when they can play, when they can study, and so on, regarding activities at home," he said.
Endin added that families also have an important role in instilling religious and moral values as the main foundation in forming a quality generation.
