PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin led a coordination meeting of the Association of Indonesian Village Governments (APDESI) in Garut City (4/5/2026) to improve the governance of 442 villages.

Syakur asked village officials to improve their financial management capacity so that village funds have a direct impact on the welfare of residents.

"I instructed the Head of the DPMD to continue educating and upgrading the village's capabilities and capacity in managing financial funds and good governance, and they must be solid and united," said the Regent.

This routine quarterly coordination meeting is used as a space to resolve real problems that occur in the village.

"We'll never know the problems on the ground without discussions. The local government is committed to allocating funds in amounts tailored to our capabilities to address the issues facing the village," he added.

Head of the Garut Regency Village Community Empowerment Service, Ahmad Ramdani, said that this forum helps villages face complex problems in the field.

"Togetherness is key. This is our form of friendship, a gathering of APDESI DPK ranks and APDESI administrators. The problems that occur in the village are numerous and complex, and we cannot do anything without the togetherness and unity of the village head. I advise the village head to be able to encourage his staff to further improve their mindset, especially regarding capacity," said Ahmad.

The Head of the DPC APDESI Garut Regency, Oban Sobana, hopes that this forum will produce concrete solutions for village community services.
