PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Trade and Industry Office (Disdagin) explained the major achievements of the 2025 Bandung Shopping Month (BBB) implementation, reaching a turnover of up to IDR 101.07 billion.

This was stated by the Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Office, Ronny Ahmad Nurudin during the evaluation and preparation of the 2026 BBB plan at the Green Forest Resort, Wednesday (10/12/2025).

Ronny stated that the entire BBB 2025 agenda is a form of pentahelix collaboration that aligns with the direction of the Mayor of Bandung.

"In Bandung, there's no competition; there's collaboration. We're like a team, everyone has a role to play in our collective success," he said.

Bandung Shopping Month, held from August 1 to October 5, 2025, includes:

* Indonesia Shopping Festival (ISF) on August 1–24, 2025,
* Bandung Creative Market (PKB) on August 8 – October 5, 2025,
* Indonesian Discount Shopping Day (HBDI) on August 15–31, 2025.
* Bandung Great Sale on August 28 - September 7, 2025

From the entire series of Bandung Shopping Month programs, the total economic turnover was recorded at Rp101.07 billion, with BGS as the largest contributor at Rp92.6 billion.

Ronny believes that this collaboration is a strategic step in promoting Bandung as a national shopping tourism destination.

"We hope that next year the impact will be broader with the participation of even more business actors," he said.

Furthermore, the Bandung Creative Market, held in eight major malls, also saw significant growth, involving more than 330 MSMEs from the fashion, crafts, and culinary sectors. Its total revenue reached nearly Rp10 billion, with online sales contributing Rp6.5 billion.

"Thank God, from six malls last year, this year's event has grown to eight. The large number of MSMEs attending demonstrates the public's enthusiasm and trust in this event," said Ronny.

Ronny also detailed data on tourist visits and public mobility during the 2025 BBB period. Based on reports from Jasa Marga and several train stations, the total number of visitors to Bandung City exceeded 1 million people, while activity within the city reached 1.4 million movements.

A total of 21 malls, 15 associations, and 896 tenants participated. Sectors involved included hotels (41 hotels), restaurants, retail, beauty clinics, transportation, marketplaces, and sports facilities.

"This shows that BBB is not just a shopping event, but an ecosystem that drives various economic sectors," said Ronny.

Ronny also conveyed a message and appreciation from the Mayor of Bandung. He stated that the Mayor expressed his gratitude to all business actors for their support of BBB 2025.

"The Mayor expresses his highest appreciation and hopes that next year's event will be even more festive, bigger, and more impactful," said Ronny.

For the 2026 BBB, the Department of Trade and Industry is preparing a schedule adjustment, with the possibility of implementation in September or October, taking into account the low season period to stimulate economic activity.

Meanwhile, the Bandung Creative Market will be moved to June, still involving eight malls.

"We want this collaboration to continue. Our focus is on keeping shopping centers alive and ensuring the economy continues to turn," said Ronny. (Bandung City Communications and Information Service/rka)
