PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Persib Bandung confirmed their title as the 2025/2026 Super League champions after a goalless draw against Persijap Jepara in the final match of the season at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Bandung City, Saturday (23/5/2026).

This result was enough to see Maung Bandung lift the championship trophy for the third consecutive season, or a hat trick, and also notch up their fifth title in the Indonesian League era.

West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan also witnessed the decisive match live with thousands of Bobotoh who filled the GBLA Stadium.

After the match, Erwan appealed to the public and Bobotoh to maintain a conducive situation during the Persib victory convoy on Sunday (24/5/2026).

He emphasized that there should be no vehicle checks on people from outside the area who come to Bandung City.

"I have stated that there will be no vehicle sweeps, because as good hosts, as good citizens of West Java, we must welcome guests from anywhere outside the region," said Erwan.

Erwan also asked people from outside the city to temporarily avoid the central area of Bandung City in the morning until noon because of the expected traffic congestion due to the Persib champion convoy.

"But I'm sorry, as the Regional Police Chief said earlier, from tomorrow morning until noon, don't go to the city area yet, because of the traffic jam," he said.

He hopes that the entire series of Persib's victory celebrations can take place safely, orderly, and joyfully without disturbing the comfort of other people.

"It's better to go to areas not covered by the convoy route I mentioned. Thank you," said Erwan.

Meanwhile, the Persib champions' convoy will begin at Gedung Sate, passing through Jalan Banda, Riau, Merdeka, Perintis Kemerdekaan, Lembong, Veteran, Simpang Lima, Asia Afrika, and ending at Gedung Merdeka in Bandung. The convoy is expected to take 3-4 hours and will begin at 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
