PORTALJABAR, KARAWANG REGENCY - West Java Governor Mulyadi attended the West Java Vesak Pujabakti Ceremony 2570 TB/ 2026, which took place in the courtyard of Jiwa Temple and Blandongan Temple, Segaran Village, Batu Jaya District, Karawang Regency, Sunday (14/6/2026).

In his remarks, KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, urged all attendees to be moderate in their use of natural resources. Excessive use will lead to destruction, chaos, war, and even hatred, which will continue to spread from generation to generation.

"Today's wars occur because of hatred that has been nurtured and passed down from generation to generation," said KDM.

So that this doesn't happen, humans should prioritize feelings and love as the main basis of life.

"People who love feelings and love, let alone killing, can't even step on grass because they feel like they are with the universe," added KDM.

In addition, with love, humans limit themselves and give space to others.

"People who limit themselves are eternally complacent," said KDM.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Vesak Pujabakti Ceremony Committee 2570TB-2026 Yayang Tanuryadi, said that the West Java level Vesak commemoration activities have always been held at the Jiwa Temple complex since 2008.

Yayang hopes that in the future the Jiwa and Blandongan Temple complexes will become tourist destinations so that they can provide benefits to the community, especially those living near the temple complex.

The Director General of Buddhist Community Guidance at the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, Supriyadi, expressed a similar sentiment. According to Supriyadi, his office is currently working on formulating the use of temples across the archipelago.

"We are working on and formulating ways to utilize temples for religious purposes. All temples in Indonesia will become even more vibrant," Supriyadi concluded.
