PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regency Regional Secretary Nurdin Yana led a joint roll call and sent off three Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) administrators for the Umrah pilgrimage, Monday (21/9/2026).

The activity took place at the Garut Regency Regional Secretariat Field, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District, and was attended by state civil servants (ASN).

The three DMI administrators who were sent were Mochammad Hamdan Alfaruq, Andrianto, and Nu'man Nurkholis.

Hamdan is the caretaker of the Ar-Rohman Grand Mosque and also the Secretary of the Garut DMI, while Andrianto is the caretaker of the Al-Barokah Grand Mosque and also the Deputy Chairman of the Garut DMI.

Meanwhile, Nu'man Nurkholis is the caretaker of the Garut Grand Mosque who also had the opportunity to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.

The departure of the three is a form of concern through the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for mosque prosperity activists.

In his remarks, Nurdin Yana conveyed that the Umrah assistance was a tangible form of appreciation for the DMI management team who continue to serve from the central to regional levels.

"I think that's the real situation we're facing right now. But what's actually hidden within all of this is that God has moved and favored those He has given us greater value. By God's power, our friends, Mr. Hamdan, Mr. Andri, and Mr. Kholis, have been elevated in status by God," said the Garut Regional Secretary.

Nurdin Yana emphasized that this incident was a reminder (tazkirah) for ASN and the community, that sustenance and the call to worship in the Holy Land are under the will of Allah SWT.

"This is a tazkirah for all of us. Hopefully the day after tomorrow, Allah will move us all to take the various paths chosen by Allah SWT. I think it is not difficult for Allah to send us, if Allah wills it, Allah will move that person, so that we can go to Mecca to be invited by Allah SWT," he added.

Concluding his remarks, the Regional Secretary, on behalf of the Garut Regency Government, conveyed his congratulations to the three Umrah participants on their pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

He also asked them to include prayers for the safety and progress of Garut Regency while they were in Mecca.

"We pray for those who will be departing. Conversely, we ask for the prayers of our friends departing for Mecca to ensure the continued well-being of Garut Regency. This will ultimately empower the Regency government, especially all of us civil servants, to provide the best and support the people of Garut Regency," he concluded.
