PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin attended the farewell and welcoming ceremony for the Commander of the 062/Tarumanegara Military District Command (Danrem) which took place at the Kassiti Fave Hotel Ballroom, Jalan Raya Cimanuk, Tarogong Kidul, Garut Regency, Monday night (11/18/2024).

In his speech, Barnas gave high appreciation to the former Danrem 062/TN, Colonel Arh Rudi Ragil, for his dedication and loyalty while serving in the Korem 062/TN area which covers seven regencies/cities in West Java. He said that the dedication given by Colonel Rudi Ragil was real evidence of his contribution to the community.

"Once again, congratulations to all of you and your families, hopefully you will not forget our beloved Garut and also other cities and regencies," said Barnas.

He also warmly welcomed the presence of the new Danrem 062/TN, Colonel Inf Nurul Yakin, and his wife. Barnas is optimistic, with the capacity he has, Colonel Nurul Yakin will provide a great contribution and pride for the people of Garut.

"Hopefully you will continue to be healthy, happy and successful. And we will not go into detail, what is clear is that we are happy with Mr. Rudi's new position and also Mr. Nurul Yakin's new position," Barnas added.

Travel Assignment and Synergy

Colonel Arh Rudi Ragil, in his celebration, expressed his gratitude for the mandate he had carried out for more than a year as Danrem 062/TN.

He shared various impressions he experienced during his duties, especially in establishing synergy with various parties.

"A position is a trust, a mandate, given by the state to someone to lead a regional unit. So whatever Allah SWT gives us, we remain grateful to Allah," he said.

He also explained that the working area of Korem 062/TN includes seven districts/cities with diverse characteristics and dynamics, including tourism potential, natural resources, and vulnerability to disasters.

This, according to him, is a challenge for the TNI to continue to synergize with the government and the Police in supporting regional development.

"On the one hand, our region is indeed vulnerable to disasters, our region is also a tourism center, our region has a lot of potential natural resources," he said.

Hopes and Commitments of the New Commander Meanwhile, the new Danrem 062/TN, Colonel Inf Nurul Yakin, said that he was born and raised in Jakarta. He stated that he was happy to return to duty in West Java, after previously serving in Bandung in 2015.

"So this is my second assignment in West Java, it's very comfortable, I'm very happy," he said.

Colonel Nurul Yakin also expressed his gratitude to Colonel Arh Rudi Ragil for his dedication so far, and asked for support from all ranks of Korem 062/TN and the Garut community in carrying out their duties in the future.

"Therefore, I ask for your support, please, if there are any mistakes and errors, do not hesitate to remind me," he emphasized.

The farewell event was warm and full of familiarity, as a form of respect for the services of the previous leader and a new spirit in continuing the duties at Korem 062/Tarumanegara. (Diskominfo Kab. Garut/Fauziah)
