PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan attended the donation for 1000 orphans initiated by the Cikarang Community at the Al Azhar Jababeka Grand Mosque, Bekasi Regency, Saturday (30/3/2024).
Dani appreciated the activities initiated by the Cikarang Community, because this compensation activity has been going on for 9 years.
"Yes, this orphan compensation activity is extraordinary, it is held every year and has been running for nine years," he said.
Dani also appreciated the donors and communities who had taken action. It wasn't even interrupted even though there were obstacles when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred.
"We, on behalf of the government and the people of Bekasi Regency, would like to express our deepest gratitude and highest appreciation and pray that good deeds will receive multiple rewards from Allah SWT," he said.
Dani said that the donors believed that sodakoh would not make people poor.
"Because sodakoh opens the door to goodness, by sharing prosperity and creating a circle of goodness, one kindness will be rewarded many times over," he said.
Dani said that sodakoh is not only material, but can also be done by donating time, energy and thoughts. Therefore, this momentum in the month of Ramadan is used as a month for sharing.
Chairman of the Community of Lovers of 1000 Orphans, Nurcahyo, said that today's compensation activities were given to 500 orphans and another 500 were distributed to orphanages in various areas of Bekasi Regency.
"Alhamdulillah, I would like to express my thanks to all the donors who have helped with this activity, hopefully it will be a good deed in this month of Ramadan," he said.
