Acting Regent of Bogor Invites ASITA to Build Tourism to Continue to Grow and Develop

PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu invited the DPC Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) or the Association of Bogor Regency Tourist Travel Companies to participate in developing tourism in Bogor Regency so that it continues to grow and develop.

He said this when attending the inauguration of ASITA Bogor Regency for the 2023-2028 period and halalbihalal tourism in Bogor Regency, at The Green Peak Hotel, Bogor Regency, Monday (13/5/2024).

The event carried the theme of establishing harmonious synergy to build superior, strong and sustainable tourism in Bogor Regency.

"I invite ASITA and all tourism stakeholders to strengthen synergy and collaboration to build the Bogor Regency tourism sector, according to the potential and characteristics of the region, so that tourism can develop further and bring prosperity to the community," he said.

Asmawa explained that Bogor Regency is very rich in tourism potential, with its natural conditions and strategic location in the Jabodetabek regional area, plus Karawang, Lebak, Purwakarta, Sukabumi, Cianjur, and surrounded by tens of millions of populations. So it has great potential for regional, national and international tourism development.

"In accordance with the Bogor Regency Sport and Tourism tagline, tourism potential in Bogor Regency must be promoted massively by all stakeholders," he said.

Asmawa continued, apart from that, the quality of supporting facilities, tour and travel services, hotels, restaurants and other accommodation services must also continue to be improved, so that they are more competitive, able to attract more tourists to drive the tourism industry and economy, especially in Bogor Regency.

"The Bogor Regency Government continues to strive to create a conducive business environment for the sustainable development of the tourism sector, through policies, regulations, ease of licensing, training, increased accessibility, infrastructure and promotion," he said.

Asmawa appreciates all stakeholders who have contributed to tourism development while driving the regional economy.

He hopes that Bogor Regency tourism will progress and develop so that it can contribute more to the progress of development and community welfare.

West Java ASITA DPD Secretary Nuning Widya Sutrisno said that the newly appointed Bogor Regency ASITA DPC administrators must be able to carry out their duties with full responsibility and dedication, and provide benefits to their members. Be an organization that can be a locomotive for Bogor Regency's tourism progress.

"The tourist travel business is currently one of the large industries that can be relied upon to contribute to the country's foreign exchange and local revenue. "ASITA must be able to respond to new realities, build collaboration and play an active role in tourism development," said Nuning.

Chair of the Bogor Regency ASITA DPC, Syawqi M. Haromaini, said that today's event is the starting point for us to contribute and synergize with the Bogor Regency Government and related stakeholders to advance tourism in Bogor Regency. Because the potential is so big.

"After the pandemic is over, God willing, we and the tourism people of Bogor Regency will rise and prosper again. "Making Bogor Regency a leading tourist destination in Indonesia and the world," said Syawqi.
