PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bogor, Bachril Bakri invited the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) to work together to make tourism the main driver of development.
This was conveyed at the Welcome Dinner for the 18th PHRI National Conference (Munas) in 2025, in Cisarua District, Monday (10/2/2025).
Bachril Bakri explained that in Bogor Regency, the number of tourist visits increased from 4.4 million in 2020 to 16 million tourists in 2024. The Regional Original Income (PAD) in the tourism sector increased from 63 billion in 2020 to 624 billion in 2024.
"This indicates that tourism is the mainstay of Bogor Regency. Then we also have the motto Sport and Tourism to advance the sports and tourism sectors," explained Bachril.
Bachril explained that there are 166 tourist attractions (natural, artificial and cultural), 537 lodging businesses (star, non-star and other investments), 817 restaurant and food stall businesses, 170 tourism service businesses and 70 tourist villages in Bogor Regency.
"I invite you, let us continue to maintain solidarity, support each other, and strengthen the network of cooperation between business actors and all stakeholders for the progress of the tourism sector,
He continues, continues to commit and contribute to building advanced, competitive, and sustainable Indonesian tourism. The success of the tourism industry is not only determined by certain individuals or groups, but by our togetherness.
"With determination, power, and a spirit of togetherness, I am sure PHRI can bring the tourism industry to a higher level and make a real contribution to economic growth and community welfare," said Bachril.
Chairman of BPP PHRI, Hariyadi BS Sukamdani expressed, our spirit is to advance tourism on a national scale, and advance the potential in the regions. In the midst of the current challenges, we must continue to find ways for companies to continue to grow and we can make positive contributions to the nation and state.
