PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting The Regent of Bogor, Asmawa Tosepu advised the 200 members of the District Election Committee (PPK) to carry out their duties responsibly, honestly, fairly and neutrally in overseeing the democratic party in Bogor Regency.

He expressed this at the inauguration and orientation duties of the District Election Committee (PPK) for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada), at the Lorin Sentul Babakan Madang Hotel, Thursday (16/5/2024).

A total of 200 PPK personnel spread across 40 sub-districts throughout Bogor Regency are part of the regional elections which will be held on November 27 2024, this is in accordance with the mandate of the law.

Asmawa Tosepu explained that PPK was the spearhead of the succession of regional elections or democratic parties in their respective sub-districts, to encourage the successful implementation of regional elections in Bogor Regency.

"I advise the PPK to carry out its duties responsibly, honestly, fairly and neutrally in overseeing the democratic party in Bogor Regency. "We must also actively collaborate and synergize both hierarchically with the KPU, then with the Subdistrict Panwas and Forkopimcam," said Asmawa.

Asmawa emphasized that after being inaugurated, the PPK must immediately carry out its duties, one of which is conducting outreach related to the stages of implementing the Pilkada in Bogor Regency to the community. This is to encourage increased community participation in the 2024 regional elections in Bogor Regency.

"I also advise PPK personnel to be more careful, more thorough, more thorough and orderly in the context of business administration or financial administration, because this should not become a problem in the future," stressed Asmawa.

On the same occasion, Asmawa Tosepu also reminded all ASN, regional apparatus leaders, sub-district heads and their staff, village heads and sub-district heads, to position themselves in a neutral position in accordance with the provisions of the regulations in the upcoming regional elections.

"I have conveyed to Bawaslu that if it is found that there are state officials, especially from the Bogor Regional Government, who are directly or indirectly involved in practical political activities, and are supported by strong evidence, then do not hesitate to enforce the rules," stressed Asmawa.

Chairman of the Bogor Regency General Election Commission (KPU), Muhammad Adi Kurnia, explained that as election organizers, our challenges are very big, where on November 27 we will hold Pilkada in Bogor Regency.

"PPK is an extension of the KPU at the sub-district level. PPK's integrity and strong commitment will determine the success of the democratic party that we will hold later, so I ask PPK friends to commit to making the 2024 regional elections a success in Bogor Regency," explained Muhammad Adi.

He added that Bogor Regency has the largest permanent voter list (DPT) in Indonesia and this could possibly increase in the next regional elections, this is a big challenge that must be faced together.

The Pilkada stages have begun, we must run and build synergy with Forkopimcam and related stakeholders in their respective regions.
