PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting Bogor Regent, Asmawa Tosepu together with Commission IV of the Indonesian People's Representative Council (DPR RI) visited Cibinong Market (1/4/2024).

Asmawa stated that food stocks were safe ahead of Eid and price stabilization was continuing. This activity was in the context of a Specific Working Visit of Commission IV DPR RI in order to monitor food stocks and prices.

Asmawa Tosepu explained that in Bogor Regency during the month of Ramadan until Eid there was a movement in price increases. Earlier we saw that chicken meat was around 40 thousand per kg, beef was around 135 thousand, it is estimated that by Eid it could rise to 150 thousand. This is because there are market dynamics, where people's needs are increasing.

"Regarding food stocks in Bogor Regency, God willing, it will be safe for the next three months. Then at several points in Bogor Regency we routinely carry out cheap market operations, including at Cibinong Market. "This is in the framework of the Bogor Regional Government to ensure the availability of food needed by the community at cheaper prices," explained Asmawa.

Asmawa Tosepu added that the Bogor Regional Government always encourages price stability, in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Minister of Home Affairs, the Regional Inflation Control Team must continue to innovate.

"For cheap market activities, we have support from the relevant stakeholders. "The point is that the Bogor Regency Government wants to ensure that people can get quality food, one of which is rice, at a cheaper price," said the Acting Regent of Bogor.

Member of Commission IV DPR RI Ravindra Airlangga said, today we visited Cibinong Market to monitor food stocks and prices ahead of Eid. This visit to Cibinong Market together with the National Food Agency, Acting. Bogor Regent and Bogor Regency Government officials.

We are monitoring several price movements, especially the price of chicken meat which has increased. We also monitor the Stabilization of Food Supply and Prices (SPHP) program, namely the availability of rice stocks. This program will help reduce and anticipate increases in rice prices. Next, monitor stocks and prices of other things such as meat, onions, garlic and other staple ingredients.
