PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu led the Preparedness Call for Civil Service Police Units (Satpol PP) throughout Bogor Regency in facing the General Election and carrying out their main duties and functions.

Asmawa said that this rally showed the readiness of the Satpol PP to make the democratic party in Bogor Regency a success. The Preparedness Call was held at the Tegar Beriman Building, Bogor Regency, Monday (5/2/2024).

Asmawa explained that this roll call showed his readiness to carry out the service tasks carried out as members of Satpol PP as mandated by Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, Satpol PP has an important and strategic role in the context of regional government administration.

"In nine days we will hold a democratic party, namely the simultaneous elections on February 14 2024. In this regard, the main task of the Satpol PP is to ensure that the implementation of the democratic party in Bogor Regency runs smoothly, safely, orderly and conducive. "One of them is maintaining the security of election logistics," he said.

Asmawa said that the success of implementing a democratic party has two indicators, the first is the creation of regional conduciveness. Satpol PP is an extension of the Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) to maintain security. So we must always synergize with relevant stakeholders, especially the TNI and Polri.

"The second indicator of success is the high level of public political participation in the 2024 elections. The constitutional rights guaranteed by the state in order to lead the nation for the next five years must be used. "Just one voice is important for the future of this nation," he said.

Asmawa emphasized that the Satpol PP ranks must also be a mouthpiece for educating people who already have voting rights, at least within their families. Convey that elections are important, so don't not vote or abstain.

"I ask for understanding and understanding to the public so that they can equally give their voting rights to the TPS. Community political participation is important because Bogor Regency's position is not only a buffer zone for the capital city but also has a strategic position. "So we must be the best in carrying out this democratic party," he said.

He added that Satpol PP carries out basic government service functions, namely ensuring peace, order, security and protection of the community. Therefore, we should be proud of the Satpol PP in Bogor Regency, because the state recognizes our existence by entrusting us with very strategic tasks and functions.

"The challenges in Bogor Regency are greater than in other areas, apart from the large area, the district with the largest population in Indonesia is also a disaster-prone area. "So carry out responsibly the duties and functions entrusted to us," he said.
