PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu directly inspected the location of the natural landslide disaster located at Kp. Babakan Rawahaur, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, Wednesday (27/3/2024).

Asmawa explained that the direct inspection was carried out to ensure that the process of searching and evacuating victims was running optimally, as well as inviting all related parties to always be enthusiastic and maximal in handling disasters that occurred in the Bogor Regency area.

Asmawa also handed over compensation assistance to the victims in collaboration with Baznas Bogor Regency.

It is important to note that a landslide occurred on Sunday, March 24 2024 at 19.30 WIB which buried a house unit of one of the residents inhabited by two heads of families consisting of five people, which caused one fatality, namely Anah (65) years old who is still being searched for and four are in safe condition.

The Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) through a rescue team consisting of BPBD and Bogor Regency Fire Brigade, Forkopimcam, Babakan Madang District and assisted by volunteers quickly handled the disaster and searched for one victim who was buried by the landslide.

The search for fatalities has been carried out since Sunday 24 March 2024 until now, starting from coordination with local authorities, data collection, evacuation, land & water searches and evaluation.

The search continues to this day, the diving team has carried out dives at two points, namely Cedong point and Leuwilaja point. Two teams of river combers began searching from point zero to the Cikeas River near Kranggan Golf Hill for approximately 13 kilometers but until now no fatalities have been found.
