PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut Regional Government expressed its appreciation to the PLN Group for its contribution through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program in the development of Mount Guntur Beekeeping Tourism Education. This assistance is considered very beneficial for business continuity in Pasawahan Village.

“Thank you to PLN. Hopefully it will be even more successful, and the people here will be more passionate about industrial culture. "This educational tourism can provide children with an understanding about honey," said Acting. Garut Regent, Barnas Adjidin (9/7/2024).

Barnas also directly observed the honey processing process which was carried out quickly, precisely, hygienically and according to the needs of the community. He hopes that this potential will continue to be developed, by maintaining product quality and halalness.

“This is not the beginning but a stage that must continue. "The government, society and the business world work together to continue what is expected," he added.

General Manager (GM) PLN West Java Distribution Main Unit (UID), Susiana Mutia, explained that PLN's TJSL is an ongoing program. Mount Guntur Beekeeping Tourism Edu has been going through the TJSL stages for many years and is expected to achieve independence.

"It was also stated earlier that we have already made a small profit, we will add new products, then you can be independent here, manage it yourself, and maybe then we will release it as an independent business," said Susiana.

He also mentioned that the Mount Guntur Beekeeping Tourism Edu had received a Gold award at the 2023 Indonesia SDGs Award (ISDA) in the SDGs 8.9 Sustainable Local Tourism Development category.
