Acting Regent of Garut Opens Danrem 062/TNI Cup Badminton Open Tournament in 2024

PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, directly opened the 2024 Danrem 062/TN Cup Badminton Open Tournament which took place at the Maung Korem 062/TN Sport Center, Jalan Baratayuda, Garut City District, Garut Regency, Friday (1 /3/2024).

The Acting Regent of Garut expressed his appreciation to Korem 062/TNI for organizing this tournament.

"Badminton is a very popular sport in our country, and we know that there are many badminton heroes who have made achievements at national and even international events," he said.

Barnas said that badminton is also a social sport that is popular with many people. He hopes that all parties involved in organizing this tournament can uphold sportsmanship.

"Once again, have fun competing, uphold sportsmanship, then if anything happens, we will also ask for a team of doctors from the TNI, Polri or local government to continue to maintain the continuity of badminton," he said.

Danrem 062/TN Colonel Arh. Rudi Ragil Sang Putra revealed that this tournament was held to celebrate the 211th anniversary of Garut Regency with the theme "From Korem 062 Tarumanegara to More Advanced Garut Regency Achievements".

Apart from that, this tournament was held in order to increase friendship and togetherness between the extended Korem 062/TN family and the people of Garut Regency.

"It is also Korem's concern to support badminton development in Garut Regency, as well as to produce seeds of outstanding badminton athletes so that they can make Garut Regency proud in particular, and perhaps on the national stage, even on the international stage," he said.

This tournament was attended by 325 participants throughout Garut Regency, divided into several categories including elementary, middle school, general and government agencies. (Diskominfo Garut/Revo)
