PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Mayor of Bandung, A. Koswara asked the village heads in Bandung City to make the central government's program a success, one of which is Free Nutritious Food (MBG).

The reason is, the MBG program can encourage increased public welfare.

"In 2025, there are many national programs that must be supported, one of which is Free Nutritious Meals. The village heads in the regions must take a role. First, it must create an economic impact," explained Koswara on the sidelines of the Bandung City Village Head Development activity, at the D'Botanica Hotel (14/1/2025).

According to Koswara, the main goal of MBG is to provide better nutrition to students. Beyond that, there are many things that can be developed to provide economic impact in the region.

"This should have an economic impact in the region. The kitchen or Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) is there, so the supply chain can also be utilized. Such as rice, vegetables and so on," he said.

According to him, MBG can be used to improve the regional economy. Like Buruan Sae in the region can be used for vegetables.

"The economy can be a part to be utilized. There is Buruan Sae which can contribute to MBG," he said.

On the other hand, Koswara also emphasized that village heads must understand and have knowledge of regulations in implementing each activity that is implemented.

"The main role is the implementation of all regulations. Implementation of programs with various regulations according to their provisions, that is what must be understood," he said.

In this regard, Koswara encouraged the village heads to continue to increase their creativity and innovation to develop services to the community.

"Creativity and innovation must be used within the legal corridor according to the rules. We do it in order to achieve the objectives of the regulation. So it opens the insight of the lurah in implementing it in order to encourage creativity and innovation in line with the regulations," he said.
