PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PLN West Java Main Distribution Unit (UID) through the PLN Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) distributed various aid to ease the burden on residents affected by the flood.
The assistance provided includes 3,400 packages of iftar food and 500 packages of sahur, mineral water, and other basic necessities for the people in the Bogor, Bekasi, Gunung Putri, Depok, Karawang, and Cikarang areas.
In addition, PLN also provides free laundry services in Tugu Selatan, Cisarua, Bogor to help residents wash their clothes affected by the flood. PLN also helps with the evacuation process in several locations that are most severely affected, such as in Bogor, Cikarang, and Gunung Putri.
General Manager of PLN UID West Java, Agung Murdifi, emphasized that PLN is present not only to ensure that electricity remains safe and is quickly restored, but also to help the community through difficult times due to the flood disaster.
"We understand that this flood condition brings great challenges for the community, especially for those who are fasting. Therefore, in addition to restoring electricity, we also ensure that aid can be distributed quickly and on target. PLN is committed to being present in the community, not only in providing electricity but also in helping with post-disaster recovery," he said.
PLN UID West Java continues to coordinate with various parties, including local governments and related agencies, so that the assistance provided can be utilized optimally by people in need.
On the electricity side, PLN also continues to gradually restore the network. Temporary blackouts are carried out at several points that are still flooded to avoid safety risks. Re-lighting is carried out after conditions are declared safe by PLN and the authorities.
PLN urges the public to remain alert to potential electrical hazards during floods and to report electrical conditions via PLN Mobile or the PLN 123 Contact Center.
