PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT PLN West Java Distribution Main Unit (Jabar) checked the location of the planned implementation of Eid 1445 H prayers in West Java. This activity was supervised directly by West Java Distribution Senior Manager Aji Lesmana at the Islamic Da'wah Center (PUSDAI) Bandung. ( 11/6/2024 )

Aji said he would alert 4,320 personnel and supporting infrastructure 24 hours a day, in order to maintain the security and reliability of electricity supply during the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1445 H/2024 AD and long holidays.

"To prepare for Eid al-Adha 1445 H, West Java PLN UID is alerting 4,320 officers consisting of Yantek officers and standby personnel," said Aji.

Aji said that to ensure this preparedness, PLN UID West Java had carried out troops and equipment deployment simultaneously in all PLN UID West Java work unit areas.

"This time, we predict that Eid al-Adha 1445 H will be quite busy because there is a public holiday. Therefore, so that people can celebrate Eid al-Adha comfortably and safely, we ensure the readiness of officers, electricity supplies and supporting equipment in serving customers," he said.

According to Aji, PLN's standby period for Eid al-Adha 2024 is set to start from June 16 2024 to June 18 2024 . Before the alert period, PLN UID West Java had carried out electricity network inspections, alerted personnel, carried out maintenance on the 20 kV substation cubicles and busbars, maintained feeders and prepared reserve materials.

Meanwhile, the supporting facilities prepared are 796 vehicles (in the form of 700 cars and 96 motorbikes), 98 generators, 20 UPS units, 156 mobile substations and 9 detection vehicles.

"West Java's electricity system supply is generally in a safe condition, with capacity greater than usage," said Aji.

The estimated peak load for Eid al-Adha during the day is 5,820 MW, an increase of 439 MW (8.2 percent) compared to last year's load. Meanwhile, the estimate at night reached 5,868 MW, an increase of 263 MW (4.5 percent) compared to last year.

Apart from anticipating electricity supply readiness due to the collective holiday moment, West Java PLN UID has also alerted and prepared anticipatory scenarios for important locations where Eid al-Adha prayers are held, hospitals, public service centers, and so on.

“God willing, the supply will be sufficient. "PLN UID West Java will try to provide good electricity reliability for all customers," concluded Aji.
