PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT PLN succeeded in quickly restoring electricity conditions in several locations in West Java which were previously affected by disturbances. At 23.10 WIB the entire electrical system was restored and all customers were back on.

As news circulated that there was damage at UPJ Pakuan and loss of voltage at the substation and could cause outages for up to 18 hours. PLN immediately responded that the information was incorrect.

PLN UID West Java Communications and TJSL Manager Dindin Mulyadin emphasized that the electricity in the affected areas is 100 percent. And the news that there will be blackouts for 18 days is incorrect information.

"Until now, PLN is still continuing to carry out assessments regarding the cause of the disturbance. It is suspected that a lightning strike that hit the transmission network resulted in the generator being affected," said Dindin, Thursday (30/11/2023).

Previously, this disturbance had affected three areas of PLN West Java, namely Cianjur, Sukabumi and parts of Bogor.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN's West Java Distribution Main Unit, Susiana Mutia, said that her party immediately deployed a number of personnel from the PLN standby team to oversee the restoration of electricity services for customers.

"Thank God, thanks to the fast work of fellow officers in the field, the electricity was able to come back on quickly last night, and the electricity condition is now safe," said Susiana.

For information and reports, customers can contact PLN if there are still problems with the electrical system at home via the PLN mobile application, which can be downloaded on the Google Play Store or Android or App Store for iOS.
