PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja invited the public to maintain harmony and order amidst diversity while attending the Nuzulul Qur'an commemoration and Ramadan Safari at the Al Azhar Jababeka Grand Mosque, North Cikarang District (05/03/2026).

Asep said that the Ramadan Safari activity was a means of strengthening relations between the Bekasi Regency Government and the community.

"We, the Bekasi Regency Government, have four Ramadan Safari events planned. This is the second, with two more to go. This is a way to foster camaraderie between the Bekasi Regency Government and the community," said Asep.

He reminded residents to maintain environmental harmony because Bekasi Regency has a high level of social diversity.

Asep said the population of Bekasi Regency reached around 3.4 million people with diverse backgrounds, including citizens from various countries who work in the industrial area.

"Earlier, the Chief of Police also instructed all residents to protect their environment and maintain relationships with each other. Bekasi Regency has a population of around 3.4 million and is very diverse," said Asep.

He emphasized that regional development should not only focus on infrastructure and the economy but also on character development and the spiritual life of the community.

"Development is not only about infrastructure and the economy, but also about character and spiritual development of the community," said Asep.

The Bekasi Regency Government also provides budget support for religious figures and activists in the community.

Asep said the aid plan would target mosque imams, Koran teachers, caretakers, and grave diggers.

"Going forward, we will allocate funds for mosque imams, Quran teachers, caretakers, and even gravediggers. If possible, we will also consider musholla (prayer rooms), as they typically don't generate income like mosques," Asep said.

He invited the public to use the momentum of Ramadan to strengthen the Islamic brotherhood and use the Al-Qur'an as a guide in daily life.

"I invite all members of the community to continue to maintain Islamic brotherhood, strengthen ties, and work together to build a religious, harmonious, and prosperous Bekasi Regency," said Asep.
