PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government confirmed that the relocation of Ciledug 03 State Elementary School, Setu District, which was affected by the National Strategic Project for the construction of the toll road has entered the assessment stage for three alternative locations, while teaching and learning activities are confirmed to continue normally (9/2/2026).

This affirmation was conveyed after an internal meeting with the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, as a follow-up to public concern regarding the learning conditions at the school.

The Assistant for Government and Public Welfare of the Bekasi Regency Regional Secretariat, Hudaya**, said that three alternative relocation locations were proposed by the school and village government, which were then assessed by an integrated team across regional agencies.

"The process has reached the evaluation stage for three alternative locations. Schools and villages have proposed three locations, and they are currently in the evaluation process," said Hudaya.

Hudaya explained that the assessment was carried out based on technical and administrative parameters, starting from the distance of the location from the old school, the physical condition and contour of the land, to the status and completeness of land administration.

"There are parameters, such as how many meters from the old school, the condition of the land, and the deed. All of these are assessed, and then the highest score is determined," Hudaya explained.

He said the assessment results would be reported to the Acting Regent of Bekasi to be determined through a Regent's Decree as the official relocation location for SDN 03 Ciledug.

Once the location is determined, the Bekasi Regency Government will submit documents to the Toll Road Development Commitment Making Officer for follow-up.

"After the location is determined through the regent's decree, we will submit the data to the Toll Road Development PPK for follow-up, including an assessment of the old school assets by the KJPP and the construction of a replacement school," said Hudaya.

Regarding the viral video of learning conditions, Hudaya confirmed that teaching and learning activities at SDN 03 Ciledug are still running normally.

"We have reported and provided data and photos of the current situation. Currently, teaching and learning activities are proceeding normally," he said.

For the time being, learning is being carried out at State Junior High School 5 Setu with time arrangements so that the educational process continues to run orderly.

Hudaya explained that the morning is used by State Junior High School 5 Setu, while the afternoon to evening is used by SDN 03 Ciledug.

"The junior high school is used in the morning, and the elementary school is used from midday until evening. This way, there's no congestion, and the number of students per class remains within the regulations," Hudaya explained.

He said the relocation of SDN 03 Ciledug was a concern for the West Java Provincial Government, so accelerating the location assessment and establishing the regent's decision was a priority.

The internal meeting was attended by the Bekasi Regency Education Office, the Setu Sub-district Head, the principal of SDN 03 Ciledug, and other relevant regional officials.

The relocation team is chaired by the Head of the Bekasi Regency Education Office and includes representatives from the Education Office, the Public Works Office, the Public Works Office, the Legal Department, and the Regional Financial Management Agency.
