
PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja saw off the departure of 445 first group of Hajj pilgrims from Bekasi Regency to the Holy Land via Kertajati Airport in the context of carrying out the Hajj pilgrimage 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD (23/4/2026).
The send-off of the congregation took place at the Wibawa Mukti Building, Bekasi Regency Government Complex, Sukamahi Village, Cikarang Pusat District.
Asep Surya Atmaja said that the Hajj pilgrimage is a spiritual journey that requires physical and mental readiness from each pilgrim.
"Every step in the Holy Land is not just a physical journey, but a journey of the heart to cleanse oneself and draw closer to Allah SWT with full sincerity and awareness in every process of worship," said Asep.
He emphasized that the main value of the Hajj pilgrimage lies in piety and sincerity in carrying out the entire series of worship.
"The most important thing before Allah is not our position, but piety and sincerity in worship which are the main benchmarks for every human being in living their life," said Asep.
Asep Surya Atmaja also reminded the congregation to maintain their health while performing the pilgrimage so that the entire series of Hajj can be carried out smoothly.
"Those with a history of medical conditions should remember to maintain their health so that the pilgrimage can proceed smoothly without any significant obstacles throughout the entire Hajj pilgrimage," said Asep.
He asked the congregation to maintain the good name of the region while carrying out worship in the Holy Land.
"Maintain the good name of Bekasi Regency and take advantage of this opportunity with full sincerity and heart in carrying out each series of worship," said Asep.
Head of the Bekasi Regency Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office, Mulyono Hilman Hakim, reported that the number of pilgrims in the first group was 445 people.
"A total of 445 people will depart, consisting of 440 pilgrims and 5 Hajj officers who will accompany them during the pilgrimage in the Holy Land," said Mulyono.
He explained that the congregation was scheduled to enter the Hajj Dormitory at 09.20 WIB and depart for the Holy Land on April 24, 2026 at 09.40 WIB according to the national schedule.
"This group will enter the Hajj dormitory at 09.20 WIB and depart on April 24, 2026, at 09.40 WIB according to the official schedule," said Mulyono.
This year's Hajj is themed "Elderly, Disabled, and Women-Friendly Hajj," to ensure more inclusive services for all pilgrims.
"This activity is carried out according to the rules and is expected to strengthen Islamic brotherhood among pilgrims, thus creating a harmonious atmosphere of togetherness during the Hajj pilgrimage. This year's Hajj carries the theme "Elderly, Disabled, and Women-Friendly Hajj," which emphasizes more inclusive and humane services for all pilgrims," said Mulyono.
