PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government is prioritizing the acceleration of repairs to roads and bridges damaged by flooding so that residents' activities can return to normal, said Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja after attending the launch of the Transjabodetabek Cawang Sentral–Cikarang route at Golf Jababeka, North Cikarang (12/2/2025).

Asep said that post-flood infrastructure damage occurred in various areas, requiring swift action to prevent the situation from worsening.

"Bekasi Regency suffered significant damage following the flooding. Therefore, through the Regional Development Plan (TAPD) discussions, we will accelerate development," said Asep.

He said discussions with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) would focus on ensuring accelerated development according to field needs.

The Bekasi Regency Government is also preparing adjustments and shifts to its development program so that the most pressing issues can be addressed immediately.

"There will also be shifts that we need to repair. We don't want a road that was once good to deteriorate," he said.

Asep emphasized that development priorities are directed at emergency response, especially basic infrastructure that supports community mobility and economic access.

"The focus is definitely on development. Infrastructure. Emergencies," he said.

He said that the prioritized repairs included upgrading main roads, neighborhood roads, and bridges that had been damaged by flooding.

"Yes, improving roads, networks, and bridges. That's all for now," he said.

The Bekasi Regency Government hopes that quick repairs can prevent further damage and ensure the safety and comfort of residents in their activities.
