PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, urged all workers to maintain organizational unity and strengthen collaboration with the local government in supporting the development of Bekasi Regency.

He conveyed this when opening the Extraordinary Branch Meeting (Muscablub) of SPEE FSPMI Bekasi Regency/City at the Grande Valore Jababeka Hotel, Cikarang, Saturday (6/6/2026).

According to him, unity and solidarity are important assets for workers' organizations in fighting for the aspirations of their members while contributing to regional development.

"Maintain unity, cohesion, and solidarity. Don't let divisions arise that would hinder the workers' struggle. If workers remain united, their strength and influence in development will grow," he said.

Asep said that the Bekasi Regency Government continues to open up space for dialogue and communication with workers as part of efforts to build harmonious industrial relations and create inclusive development.

"Laborers are a vital part of Bekasi Regency's development. Government offices are always open to dialogue and collaboratively seeking solutions for the working community," he said.

On that occasion, Asep also conveyed the Bekasi Regency Government's commitment to continue improving workers' welfare through various strategic programs, one of which is the provision of decent and affordable housing for low-income communities.

According to him, the government is currently encouraging the development of subsidized flats and apartments that are accessible to workers with easy and affordable financing schemes.

"We want workers to have access to decent housing at an affordable price. Besides improving worker welfare, the vertical housing concept also offers a solution to land constraints and flooding issues in Bekasi Regency," he said.

In addition to the housing sector, the Bekasi Regency Government is also continuing to strengthen healthcare services through the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program to ensure easier and more equitable access to healthcare services. At the same time, the local government continues to promote various strategic development programs that are expected to create new economic opportunities and jobs for the community.

Asep emphasized that the development of Bekasi Regency cannot be carried out by the government alone, but requires the involvement of all elements of society, including workers.

"I don't want to be Superman, but I want to build a super team. Therefore, all elements of society must be involved and collaborate to build a more advanced and prosperous Bekasi Regency," he stressed.

He hopes the SPEE FSPMI Muscablub will produce solid organizational leadership capable of championing the interests of its members, and strengthening synergy between the union and the local government in achieving worker welfare and the advancement of Bekasi Regency.
