PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, welcomed the establishment of the Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, and Subang Human Resources Development (HRD) Communication Forum (Bekapurs) as a collaborative forum to improve the quality of human resources (HR), strengthen industrial relations, and support the advancement of the business world.

The Acting Regent of Bekasi expressed his appreciation at the launch of the Bekapurs HRD Communication Forum at the Lakeside TELL Hotel, Pasir Randu Street, Serang Baru District, Saturday (10/10/2026).

According to Asep, the existence of this forum is a strategic step to strengthen communication between HRD practitioners and companies, while also building synergy in facing employment challenges in the Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, and Subang areas.

He stated that Bekasi Regency is one of Indonesia's strategic industrial areas with significant potential to drive economic growth, attract investment, and create jobs. However, technological developments and the dynamics of the workplace demand a competent, professional, productive, and adaptable workforce.

"We must make the most of this potential to improve the well-being of the community. Technological developments and the dynamics of the workplace demand a competent, professional, productive, and adaptable workforce," said Asep.

He emphasized that HR practitioners play a crucial role in improving workforce competency and maintaining a balanced relationship between companies and employees. Therefore, HRD focuses not only on employee management but also acts as a strategic partner for companies in developing human resource quality and creating a conducive work environment.

Asep hopes the Bekapurs HRD Communication Forum can become a space for exchanging experiences, conveying ideas, and finding joint solutions to various employment issues. He also emphasized improving the competency of the local workforce so that Bekasi Regency residents can have greater opportunities to contribute to industrial growth in their region.

"Through the strategic role of HR practitioners, I hope the values of professionalism, discipline, fairness, and mutual respect can continue to be strengthened in the business world," he said.

He also invited the forum to build synergy with local governments to support improving the quality of human resources, expanding employment opportunities, and realizing harmonious and sustainable industrial relations.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bekapurs HRD Communication Forum, Yosminaldi, said the formation of the forum was based on the desire to strengthen industrial relations, not only at the regional level, but also at the national level and throughout Southeast Asia.

According to him, HR practitioners hold a strategic position because they straddle the interests of employers and workers. Therefore, HR practitioners need to play a professional, objective, and balanced role in helping resolve various industrial relations issues.

"We're starting in Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, and Subang. Our main goal is to strengthen industrial relations patterns in Indonesia and even contribute to the Southeast Asian region," said Yosminaldi.

He explained that the Bekapurs HRD Communication Forum also wants to be actively involved in developing industrial relations at the national level.

For this reason, the party hopes that the existence of this organization will be recognized so that it can contribute to the formulation of policies and the search for solutions to various employment problems.

Yosminaldi believes that resolving industrial relations issues requires the involvement of various parties with complementary perspectives. In addition to employers and the government, HRD organizations and academics are also needed to ensure more objective and comprehensive discussions and solutions are developed.

Through the formation of the Bekapurs HRD Communication Forum, it is hoped that stronger collaboration will be fostered between HRD practitioners, companies, the government, and academics to create harmonious industrial relations, increase workforce competitiveness, and support industrial growth and community welfare.
