PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government has welcomed the launch of the National Electric Motorcycle (Molinas) because of its potential to create jobs for the community.
Acting Regent of Bekasi Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja attended the launch of Molinas with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi at Alva's production facility, Delta Silicon, South Cikarang (13/8/2026).
Asep assessed that the presence of the Molinas production facility in Bekasi Regency has strategic significance for the development of the national electric vehicle industry.
According to him, mastering technology and strengthening the industrial ecosystem is crucial for Indonesia to be able to produce and develop technology independently.
"Mastering technology and strengthening the industrial ecosystem are considered crucial so that Indonesia becomes not only a market but also has its own production and technology development capabilities," he said.
As one of the national industrial centers, Bekasi Regency has the opportunity to gain economic benefits from the development of the electric vehicle industry.
Asep hopes that the industry will open up more job opportunities and stimulate supporting economic activities for the surrounding community.
"Hopefully, the presence of the Molinas company will bring more people into employment. They can earn income, reduce unemployment, and increase local revenue," said Asep.
He believes that job opportunities for local people need to be part of industrial development in Bekasi Regency.
According to him, the absorption of local labor can expand the benefits of industrial area growth for the welfare of local communities.
"We hope that the people of Bekasi Regency can also benefit from the existence of this industry," he concluded.
President Prabowo Subianto said the development of Molinas was a form of collaboration between various elements of the nation to build national independence.
Prabowo believes that the involvement of private companies, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), the business world, and academics is crucial for strengthening technological mastery.
"Today is a very important day. I express my gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders. From private companies, entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and the academic world, who produce experts who are the core of research and development, and research and development," Prabowo said.
