PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, asked all regional apparatuses to accelerate the implementation of development programs in the second semester of the 2026 Fiscal Year so that the set targets can be achieved on schedule.

This direction was delivered while leading the Evaluation Leadership Meeting (Rapim) in the Raden Ma'mun Nawawi Meeting Room, Bekasi Regency Government Complex, Central Cikarang, Wednesday (17/6/2026).

Asep Surya Atmaja emphasized that development must continue despite facing various dynamics, including rising fuel prices and a number of construction materials that affect the implementation of activities in the field.

"Development must continue; it cannot stop. Therefore, I ask all regional officials to immediately take the necessary steps to ensure the planned activities can be realized," he said.

According to him, the fuel price hike has impacted a number of development activities because it affects the cost components outlined in the Budget Plan (RAB). This situation needs to be addressed immediately to prevent project implementation from being hampered.

For this reason, Asep Surya Atmaja asked the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) to immediately map and analyze the impact of the price increase, while also preparing the necessary adjustment scheme in accordance with applicable regulations.

"I'm asking the Regional Development Planning Agency (TAPD) to immediately conduct mapping and assess the impacts. If adjustments are needed, they should be made immediately so that development can continue and avoid future problems," he said.

He explained that rising material prices could potentially impact the volume of work that could be carried out. However, this situation should not be a reason to delay development programs planned by local governments.

"There may be adjustments to the work volume due to rising material prices. The important thing is that construction continues and the entire process is accountable and in accordance with regulations," he said.

In addition, Asep Surya Atmaja targets physical construction to begin in early July 2026. All regional officials are asked to expedite the administrative process and ongoing implementation stages of activities.

"I want construction to begin by July 1st. We must not let it drag on for too long. If adjustments are necessary in accordance with regulations, they must be resolved immediately so that the planned programs can be implemented promptly," he emphasized.
