PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung is a magnet for running fans. With a cool atmosphere and various heritage buildings, it is a special attraction for running lovers to enjoy Paris Van Java.

One of them is the Pocari Sweat Run 2024. This running competition will be held for 2 days, namely 20 - 21 July 2024. Pocari Sweat Run 2024 carries a hybrid concept, which allows participants to participate offline or virtually.

Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin asked runners to take part in protecting the environment by throwing rubbish in its place.

"I'm entrusted with making sure it is in good condition, and proving it is clean of rubbish," he said at the Opening of the 2024 Pocari Sweat Run, in front of Gedung Sate, Saturday (20/7/2024)

Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono injected enthusiasm into the participants.

"Encourage the participants, enjoy the atmosphere of Bandung City while running," he said.

Please note, the 2024 Pocari Sweat Run in Bandung has several race categories, namely 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon.

One of the 2024 Pocari Sweat Run runners, Fredi Handoko (29), said that he was looking forward to this event. This is because the city of Bandung has cool weather and very unique running routes.

"In Bandung there are many historical buildings, and the air is cool. So you won't get bored if you run. While enjoying the run, it's fun. It's fun, you can make friends too. In fact, many participants come from outside the city of Bandung," he said.
