Garut Police Hold Zebra Lodaya 2024 Operation Roll Call, Prioritizes Electronic Education and Enforcement

PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Police held a 2024 Zebra Lodaya Operation Troop Roll Call at the Garut Police Headquarters Field, Monday (10/14/2024).

The roll call was attended by a number of regional officials, including the Head of the Garut Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Usep Basuki Eko, and the Head of the Garut Regency Transportation Service, Satria Budi.

In his remarks, Deputy Chief of Garut Police, Commissioner Dhoni Erwanto, emphasized the importance of collaboration between various parties in creating security, safety, order, and smooth traffic (kamseltibcarlantas). He highlighted preemptive and preventive measures implemented through electronic-based law enforcement, such as static and mobile eTLE, as well as providing humane warnings to the public.

The 2024 Zebra Lodaya Operation aims to increase public awareness and compliance with traffic regulations, and is implemented to support the successful inauguration of the elected President and Vice President.

This operation will take place from 14 to 27 October 2024, with the theme "Through Operation Zebra Lodaya 2024, the West Java Regional Police Supports the Success of the Inauguration of the Elected President and Vice President and Invites the Public to Be Orderly in Traffic for the Realization of Safe and Comfortable Kamseltibcarlantas".

"The Zebra Lodaya 2024 operation area covers the entire jurisdiction of the West Java Regional Police and Polres ranks, both on toll roads, as well as non-toll roads or arterial roads that are the authority and responsibility of the Polri traffic function," he said.

Head of Traffic Police of Garut Police, First Inspector Aang Andi Suhandi explained that there are 10 priority violations in this operation, such as the use of exhausts that do not meet specifications, telolet horns, illegal racing, underage drivers, and not wearing helmets or seat belts. The operation will also take action against violations that have the potential to cause fatal accidents.

In addition to education in the form of warnings, his party will also take action through electronic ticketing for violators who endanger safety. Iptu Aang said that 120 personnel were deployed in this operation, with 77 personnel from the Traffic Task Force.

"If it can cause a fatal accident, we will take action by issuing a ticket," he said.
