PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Integrated Program to Increase the Role of Women Towards Healthy and Prosperous Families (P2WKSS) has been felt to be beneficial by the community.

This is evident in the Sukagalih Sub-district area which is a special location for this women's development program in 2024.

Various activities that have been carried out during the past six months have had a positive impact on the community.

Activities are also supported by OPD related to providing training and socialization, increasing economic values in families.

Various activities include makeup training, catering, sewing, pastry and integrated data management training.

There is also socialization of publication of building and housing permits, assistance for empowered women, services, socialization of agrarian performance synergy movements, socialization of stopping drugs, technical guidance on marketing digitalization, and socialization of dental health.

In addition, social welfare services, training for Posyandu cadres, the West Java Women's School, provision of poultry and plant seeds and assistance for Uninhabitable Houses (Rutilahu) were also carried out.

"I am sure the impact of the program is significant, this can be done with appropriate targets and locations," said Acting Mayor of Bandung, A. Koswara (11/10/2024).

He said that development is seen from the success contained in the indicators in the data, namely people and their location.

"The development must have a success indicator that is class with 2 indicators, namely who the person is and where the location is or by name by address," he said.

Koswara hopes that this program can be developed in other locations so that community welfare can be further improved.

"Try to cover other areas, because it will have an impact on economic welfare indicators," said Koswara.

In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service, Uum Sumiati, said that in 2024, the location of the P2WKSS integrated mentoring program will be in Sukagalih sub-district, Sukajadi district.

"The purpose of this activity is to improve women's health status, improve women's education status, improve women's knowledge and skills in productive economic endeavors and increase women's participation in environmental conservation," he said.

According to him, P2WKSS is able to increase the active role of women in community development and the active role of women and understanding of national unity insight.

"This activity starts from March to November 2024 at RW.02, Sukagalih sub-district, Sukajadi district. The involvement of 25 regional apparatuses and 4 stakeholders with a total of 119 activities with target achievement according to the general plan," he explained.

Appreciation was also expressed by the Head of the P2WKSS Evaluation Team, Siska Gerfianti. According to her, the implementation of the P2WKSS program has had a positive impact on the people of Bandung City.

"It can be seen that the city of Bandung is felt by its citizens, and if it is felt by women, we will measure the welfare of the region has increased. This is marked by the role of women who have various skills after implementing this program," said Siska, who is also the Head of the West Java Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Service (DP3AKB).

He hopes that the focus on P2WKSS activities will increase, so that the impact can be felt directly by the community.

"We know that the number of MSMEs in West Java is 1.7 million, and 60 percent of them are women. We hope that this development is evenly distributed and focused on P2WKSS, so that we pour it into 1 location so that it can be well integrated, so the main leap is to have an impact on the community," he said.
