PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government moved quickly to handle the natural disaster that occurred in Sukabumi and Cianjur Regencies, especially on the West Java Provincial roads.

Based on data from the West Java Province Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DBMPR), as of December 11, 2024, at 19.00 WIB, of the 128 disaster points that occurred on provincial roads, all landslide material has been cleared at 58 landslide points.

Then, at 44 points of collapse, five of them have been handled and can be passed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

Meanwhile, at 20 flood points that occurred, all have receded. In addition, two bridges that collapsed or were severely damaged are currently still in the process of being handled by installing a Bailey bridge and four lightly damaged bridges have been repaired.

Head of DPMPR West Java Bambang Tirtoyuliono said that a number of provincial and national roads affected by the disaster were mostly passable, although only in turns.

"To handle and accelerate repairs, we have deployed 11 field teams equipped with a number of heavy equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, Hamms and compactors," said Bambang Tirtoyuliono in Bandung City, Thursday (12/12/2024).

A number of provincial roads that can be used alternately by both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles include the Sukabuni-Sagaranten and Cikembar-Jampang Tengah-Kiaradua sections.

Then Waluran-Malereng-Palangpang-Puncak Darma-Cisaar, Tegalbuleud-Sagaranten, as well as the Cibadak-Cikidang-Palabuhan Ratu road section.

Meanwhile, the roads that are still cut off and under maintenance are the Cisaar-Sp. Loji route with alternative village roads and the Sp. Loji-Puncak Darma route, which is currently under emergency handling of the Bailey bridge.

Meanwhile, the national roads that can already be passed are the Kiara Dua-Waluran, Bagbagan-Kiara Dua, Surade-Tegalbuleud-Sindangbarang routes and the Cibadak-Pelabuhan Ratu route.

Meanwhile, the national road that has not yet been passable is the Waluran-Jampang Kulon route.
