PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government is encouraging the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through cinematography, by again holding CIFEST (Cinematography of Investment Festival).

This activity is packaged in the form of a videography competition to promote MSME products.
Through the implementation of CIFEST, it is hoped that investment opportunities in West Java Province can be exposed more widely through the videography works of participants or business actors.

Head of the West Java One-Stop Integrated Investment and Licensing Service (DPMPTSP) Nining Yulistiani said that MSMEs are business groups that have a large contribution to the regional economy.

"This business group has proven to be resilient to various economic shocks. Although in terms of the business scale targeted by micro, small and medium enterprises, it is still relatively not as large as large-scale companies, there are still many business actors who are comfortable doing business on this scale," he said at the launch of CIFEST 2024 registration in Bandung City, Tuesday (17/9/2024).

Nining added that in CIFEST, which was held for the third time, more and more MSMEs participated in promoting themselves to find investors.

"We hope that there will be more participants from year to year so that there will be more MSMEs that we can promote and have the opportunity to get investment," he added.

In the same place, Secretary of DPMPTSP West Java Deni Rusyana explained that registration for CIFEST 2024 had started on September 10 and would close on October 10.

Online registration can be accessed via dpmptsp.jabarprov.go.id/cifest .

"There will be registration procedures, criteria, and so on. So prospective participants can study them," explained Deni.

He also explained that, in addition to promoting MSMEs, CIFEST also serves as a learning experience for MSMEs to learn about digital techniques to expand the market.

"So, in addition to promoting to find investors, MSMEs are also expected to become digitally literate through simple cinematography," he explained.

According to Deni, the announcement of the winners of this event will be held in early December, along with the West Java Investment Award.
