PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The presence of psychologists at the Cipadung Community Health Center further complements clinical services as part of the integrated primary care (ILP) program. This service is one of the flagship cross-cluster programs provided to help the community receive support related to mental health.
Head of the Cipadung Community Health Center's Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), Rahmi Firda Kusumawati, said that clinical psychological services have been running since May 2026.
Cipadung Community Health Center is one of 12 community health centers in Bandung City that receive clinical psychology services out of a total of 80 community health centers.
"We hope this will continue because the community here really needs strong mental health," Rahmi said on Thursday (10/15/2026).
According to him, clinical psychological services are not only carried out within the health center building, but also reach the community through services outside the building.
Inside the building, psychologists serve patients who come independently as well as patients who receive internal referrals from other service clusters.
Meanwhile, out-of-building services are carried out by targeting various community environments, from integrated health posts to schools.
In the school environment, these services are integrated with mental health programs, School Health Services (UKS), and other programs.
Present at School
Cipadung Community Health Center has also implemented First Aid for Mental Health Problems (P3LP) in a number of schools.
At least 17 schools have participated in the activity, particularly in an effort to increase attention to adolescent mental health.
In addition, clinical psychologists are also present in a number of seminars and mental health education for students and the public.
This service targets junior high school to high school students in the Cipadung Community Health Center working area.
Its implementation is also integrated with the school's CKG, including when there are students who, based on the results of examinations or monitoring, require further assistance.
Cipadung Community Health Center Psychologist, Delis Larasaty Putri, said that psychological services are carried out through screening and consultation stages to determine the patient's psychological condition and the problems they are facing.
On a daily basis, psychological services can see around six to seven patients. This number can even increase to nine patients on Saturdays.
Delis explained that the patients who came had diverse backgrounds and problems.
Therefore, the consultation process does not only focus on the condition the patient is currently experiencing, but also explores experiences and factors that can influence his or her psychological condition.
He added that psychological services at the Cipadung Community Health Center are also part of efforts to expand public access to mental health services.
In fact, patients who come do not only come from the area around the health center, but also from other areas.
With this service, the Cipadung Community Health Center hopes that the public will be more open to discussing mental health issues and will not hesitate to seek professional help when facing psychological problems.
