PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Gobang Community Health Center introduced the latest innovation called Jari Manis (Anti-Anaemic Masakini Young Women) as an effort to reduce anemia rates among young women in Bogor Regency.

This innovation is designed to increase awareness and knowledge about the importance of preventing anemia, as well as facilitating access to information and health services for young women.

Anemia is one of the most common nutritional problems among adolescent girls, and its prevalence continues to increase. According to the 2018 Riskesdas report, the prevalence of anemia in teenagers in Indonesia reached 32 percent, while in Bogor Regency, the figure reached 20.9 percent.

Anemia in teenage girls not only has an impact on their current health, but can also affect the health of the pregnancy and babies they will give birth to in the future.

Head of the Gobang Health Center, Syamsu Wirman, explained that the "Ring Finger" innovation aims to provide comprehensive education and practical support to young women in preventing anemia.

"The Ring Finger Program includes several main activities. First, the innovation is disseminated to cross-sectors, including schools in the Gobang Health Center work area, to ensure widespread implementation of the program. Next, education is provided regarding anemia and the importance of consuming Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) "routinely to young women, with the hope of increasing their understanding of the importance of maintaining healthy hemoglobin levels," said Syamsu.

As part of the program, simultaneous TTD drinking movements are carried out every morning before learning activities begin, ensuring that young women consume TTD on time.

Apart from that, Rematri ambassadors were also formed, namely 50 young women who were specially trained to detect anemia, carry out simple health checks, and monitor the compliance of other female students in consuming TTD.

"To support further education, an e-Book about anemia, which contains information about the causes, symptoms and how to overcome it, is distributed to all young women in the Gobang Health Center working area. Monitoring of TTD consumption is also carried out online via Google Form, making it easier for officers health in monitoring adolescent girls' compliance with the program," added Syamsu (Diskominfo Garut/Revo)
