PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) held a Transition Team Meeting for Working Groups 1, 2, and 3 as an initial step to formulate a strategic, effective, and inclusive development program.

In the meeting led by Acting Mayor of Bandung A. Koswara and also attended by the elected Mayor of Bandung Muhammad Farhan and the elected Deputy Mayor Erwin.

Koswara stated that strategic programs included in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) cannot be the responsibility of one Regional Apparatus (PD) alone.

"This strategic program must be worked on collaboratively to increase budget effectiveness. The location and target of the program must also be selected with careful calculations," he said, Wednesday (1/15/2025).

He also stressed the importance of preparing a comprehensive Terms of Reference (TOR) after the program is agreed upon. This is done to ensure alignment between the executive and legislative branches so that each agency understands its duties clearly.

"Determining strategic programs must be done through in-depth and clear studies," he said.

The elected Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, appreciated the collaboration that had been established within the ranks of the Bandung City Government.

Farhan emphasized that the main goal of the future government is to create a solid and sustainable government.

"The approach taken must not be uniform. Each region and agency has its own characteristics that must be considered. We will work together to realize a collaborative government for the next five years," he said.

He also highlighted the importance of the 100-day work program as an initial step in showing the direction and goals of the new government.

Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, emphasized his commitment to realizing the 100-day work promise, including resolving waste and transportation problems.

"We hope that the results of this collaboration can run well. We are ready to be supporters and a fortress in realizing our 100-day work vision and mission to the community," he said.

The meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation between PDs, a region-based approach, and cross-sector collaboration to achieve equitable and diverse development. The Bandung City Government is optimistic that it can realize a government that is responsive to the needs of the community. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/UPI)
