PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government continues the arrangement of overhead cables in the Jalan Asia Afrika corridor from Simpang Lima to the Tamblong–Lengkong Besar intersection to create a more orderly and comfortable public space (2/7/2026).

The arrangement was carried out by cutting cables on the left side, right side, as well as transverse cables at a number of points along the Jalan Asia Afrika corridor.

Head of Operations of PT Bandung Infra Investama Boby Surya Alam said that the work was carried out based on a request for cable cutting assistance from the Bandung City Communication and Information Service.

"Today, in accordance with the request letter from the Communications and Information Service regarding cable cutting assistance, we are carrying out a cable cutting agenda on Jalan Asia Afrika, specifically from Simpang Lima to the Tamblong-Lengkong Besar intersection. The work includes cables on the left side, right side, as well as cable crossings at several points," said Boby.

The arrangement also covers the area up to before the Preanger Hotel as part of the arrangement of the Jalan Asia Afrika corridor.

Boby said that the entire work process ran smoothly without any obstacles that impacted the implementation of activities.

"Thank God, there were no significant disruptions during the implementation. All obstacles were overcome," he said.

The activity involved the Communication and Information Service, Transportation Service, Water Resources and Highways Service, Civil Service Police Unit, and regional officials.

During the implementation of the arrangement from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB, traffic flow remained busy and smooth so that community activities were not disrupted.

The arrangement of overhead cables is being carried out in stages to support the appearance of Bandung City to be neater, safer, and more comfortable for the community.
