PORTALJABAR, WEST BANDUNG REGENCY - The West Bandung Regency Government supports the 2026 Young Change-Maker Summit, which showcases 30 sustainable technology innovations created by 151 students from various regions for environmental and community life solutions on April 30, 2026.

The event, held at the Parahyangan New City Complex, featured work by junior high and high school students focused on environmentally friendly innovations.

Fifteen junior high and 15 high school groups showcased ideas such as water-absorbing sidewalks, green roofs with biochar, and classroom air quality monitoring devices.

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Stella Christie, emphasized the importance of having the courage to innovate and compete at the global level.

"Competition is healthy. There are no good results without a willingness to compete," said Stella.

The innovations showcased provide direct benefits to society such as pollution reduction, improved air quality, and urban environmental solutions.

The General Chair of BPK Penabur, Adri Lazuardi, said that this event provides a space for students to develop their creativity and produce real solutions.

"This activity provides a space for students to strengthen their talents and demonstrate that Indonesian children are capable of innovation," said Adri.

This activity trains students to think critically, creatively, and responsively to issues around them so that they are ready to face future challenges.

The West Bandung Regency Government considers this event to be a concrete step in producing an innovative generation that contributes to sustainable development.
