PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is offering a special fare of Rp216 for the Bandros Bus and Trans Metro Bandung (TMB) services in commemoration of the 216th Anniversary of Bandung City (HJKB).

This program is valid for three days, from September 25 to 27, 2026, and can be enjoyed by the entire community and tourists through cashless payments using QRIS.

Head of the Transportation BLUD Administration Subdivision of the Bandung City Transportation Agency, Ade Surya, said that this policy is a form of appreciation from the Bandung City Government to the community who participated in celebrating the 216th HJKB.

"The Bandung City Government, through the Bandung City Transportation Agency, is offering a special price of Rp216 for Trans Metro Bandung and Bandros. This rate applies to cashless payments or QRIS," Ade said at Bandung City Hall on Wednesday (September 23, 2026).

According to him, the special rate is valid for three days, namely Friday to Sunday, September 25–27, 2026. This program is not only intended for Bandung City residents, but also tourists from outside the area who are visiting the Flower City.

"There are no special requirements like a Bandung ID card. This service is available to both Bandung residents and tourists from outside the city. The Bandung City Government is providing this service to everyone," he said.

For the Bandros service, on the first day or September 25, 2026, operations start at 10:30 to 16:00 WIB with two departure points, namely Alun-alun Bandung and the Diponegoro area.

Meanwhile, on September 26 and 27, 2026, the Bandros service will be expanded to three departure points: Bandung Square, Diponegoro, and Braga. Operational hours at Alun-alun and Diponegoro will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. WIB, while the Braga stop will operate longer, extending to 9:00 p.m. WIB.

"On Saturdays and Sundays, there's a special night Bandros service from Braga. From Alun-alun and Diponegoro, it runs until 4:00 PM WIB," Ade explained.

To support this service, the Bandung City Transportation Agency has prepared 12 Bandros buses and one reserve bus. The fleet will be divided among three departure points to serve the public during the promotional period.

"We've spread them across three departure points to ensure optimal service," he said.

Meanwhile, TMB services remain operating normally on five existing corridors, operating from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. WIB. All TMB corridors also receive the same special fare of Rp216 during the HJKB period.

Ade stated that promotional fare payments can only be made using QRIS and cash payments are not accepted. However, officers will be on-site to assist anyone experiencing difficulties with digital transactions.

"We don't accept cash payments. Everything is done using QRIS. However, officers will assist people who may not have a mobile phone with them or are experiencing difficulties making payments," he said.

He also reminded the public to pay attention to the type of Bandros fleet they use, as not all tourist vehicles bearing the Bandros logo are operated by the Bandung City Government.

According to Ade, the 12 Bandros buses under the management of the Bandung City Transportation Agency have distinctive yellow license plates. Only these buses offer the promotional fare of Rp216.

"Government-managed Bandros buses are characterized by yellow license plates. They receive a special fare of Rp216. We hope the public can distinguish them from other fleets not managed by the Transportation Agency," he said.

Anticipating the high public interest during the HJKB celebrations, the Bandung City Transportation Agency has also prepared officers at each departure point to help manage queues and ensure that services run orderly.

"We have officers on hand to assist the public, manage queues, and ensure smooth service during this special tariff program," said Ade. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/rka)
