PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java has reaffirmed its position as the province with the largest investment realization in Indonesia.

According to data from the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), in the third quarter of 2025, investment value in West Java reached IDR 77.1 trillion, or around 15.7 percent of the national total.

Investment realization in the third quarter of 2025 showed a 36.34 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which amounted to IDR 56.57 trillion.

The Head of the West Java Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Dedi Taufik, stated that this achievement shows that West Java's attractiveness as an investment destination is still very strong, both for domestic (PMDN) and foreign (PMA) investors.

"Investor confidence in West Java remains high. A conducive business climate, infrastructure support, and accelerated licensing services continue to be key factors maintaining this positive momentum," said Dedi Taufik in Bandung on Friday (18/10/2025).

Of the total investment value in the third quarter of 2025, Domestic Investment (PMDN) contributed approximately IDR 41.8 trillion, while Foreign Investment (PMA) was recorded at USD 2.2 billion, equivalent to IDR 35.3 trillion.

Domestic investment (PMDN) showed significantly higher growth than foreign direct investment (PMA). Domestic investment value rose sharply by 74.33 percent, from IDR 23.97 trillion in the third quarter of 2024 to IDR 41.78 trillion in the same period in 2025.

The value of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the third quarter of 2025 reached US$2.21 billion, equivalent to Rp35.35 trillion, an increase of 8.42% compared to Rp32.60 trillion in 2024.

West Java's contribution to FDI in the third quarter of 2025 reached 16.7 percent of total national foreign investment, placing it at the top of the list compared to other provinces.

Foreign investment in West Java comes mainly from Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with a focus on the manufacturing, information and communication, trade, and real estate sectors.

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani stated that total national investment realization in the third quarter reached IDR 491.4 trillion.

"West Java will be the location with the highest investment realization in the third quarter of 2025," he said in Jakarta.

DKI Jakarta is in second place, followed by Central Sulawesi, Banten, and East Java in the top five.

Rosan added that, when compared quarterly, investment achievement in the third quarter of 2025 was significantly higher than in the first and second quarters of 2025. The previous two quarters only recorded investment realization of Rp 465.2 trillion and Rp 477.7 trillion, respectively. Meanwhile, the total investment achievement from January to September was recorded at Rp 1,434.3 trillion.
