PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto directly reviewed the progress of the construction of the replica of the Jasinga Kawedanaan Pendopo and conveyed a strategic plan to make this area the center of Jasinga culture, Wednesday (23/4/2025).
This development shows the commitment of the Bogor Regency Government in preserving local culture, which has long been awaited by the community.
"Alhamdulillah, today we can visit and witness firsthand the construction of a replica of the pendopo that the Jasinga community has been waiting for. This is not just about the building, but about reviving the spirit and identity of Sundanese culture in the Jasinga District," said Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto.
Rudy explained that this development did not come from the APBD, but rather from donations from community leaders who care about preserving culture in Bogor Regency. He also explained the reason for the absence of a project sign and budget transparency, because this project is a form of mutual cooperation and social concern.
"This is a form of public love for Jasinga's cultural heritage. I express my deepest gratitude to the donors," he added.
The Bogor Regent targets the replica of the pendopo to be completed within one week. After that, the construction will continue to other supporting facilities such as a cultural gallery, prayer room, public toilets, and complete traditional gamelan musical instruments to support arts and cultural activities in this area.
Rudy also invited the community to build Bogor Regency together.
"Let's build a safer, fairer, more advanced and prosperous Bogor Regency. This journey is still long, but with togetherness, we will be able to realize these ideals," he said.
Furthermore, the Head of the Bogor Regency Culture and Tourism Office, Yudi Santosa, said that this cultural area was built on an area of 12,000 square meters, with 1,300 square meters already fenced and prepared for the initial stage of development.
"Future plans include an exhibition of Jasinga heirlooms that will be brought to Cibinong as part of efforts to reintroduce our culture to the wider community," he said.
According to him, the management of this area will later be handed over to cultural figures, youth, youth organizations such as KNPI and Karang Taruna, and Paguyuban as a form of collaboration between the government and the community. (Diskominfo Kab. Bogor/rka)
