PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Regional Government is targeting infrastructure improvements and open public spaces to be completed by 2024. This was conveyed by Acting. Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono while monitoring a number of parks, sidewalks and PJUs in Bandung City (2/1/2024).

According to him, these three aspects are infrastructure that supports comfort for the people of Bandung City. So, revitalization and maintenance are things that need to be pursued.

“We think this is to improve public services. So, there are several facilities such as sidewalks, then there are also PJUs, and we also have 29 thematic parks. "This needs to be handled according to what we had previously planned," said Bambang.

He hopes that in the near future, efforts will be made to revitalize this infrastructure and open space.

Bambang also said that various approaches would be taken in the process of revitalizing facilities and infrastructure. Among other things, through collaboration or CSR.

“All three are priorities. We hope that all PJUs function for the safety and aesthetics of the city. Other infrastructure such as sidewalks and thematic parks too. "That's what we need to speed up," he said.

“We saw this morning many children playing in the park. "So, we also see this park as an educational facility," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bandung City Housing and Settlement Area Service (DPKP), Rizki Kusrulyadi, confirmed that the Bandung City Government is committed to continuing to maintain parks in Bandung City in a well-maintained condition. In particular, there are 29 thematic parks.

As for 2024, Rizki said several parks in Bandung City need revitalization. For example, Taman Alun-alun and Supratman.

"There are things that have not been touched so far, so we also need to carry out repairs or revitalization," he said.

He gave an example, revitalization of Taman Alun-alun is needed to maintain the quality of the park, as well as to support the basement space which is now a place for selling.

After going through the planning mechanism, he hopes that the revitalization of this public space can be completed in 2024.

"Of course there is a planning mechanism and of course we hope it will be completed in 2024," he concluded.
