PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Bogor City Hospital has been honored to be a teaching hospital for 75 young doctors, students of the Faculty of Medicine, Defense University (Unhan).
They took the doctor's oath at Paseban Sri Baduga, Bogor City, Friday (14/3/2025).
Taking the oath of a young doctor is not just a formality, but a sacred oath that will become the moral and ethical foundation in carrying out the medical profession.
Not only taking the doctor's oath, on that occasion also carried out the handover of the Military Medical Faculty Student Cadets of the Unhan to the Bogor City Hospital. These cadets will undergo education at the Bogor City Hospital for two years.
"So, this is an honor for the Bogor City Government (Pemkot), especially the Bogor City Hospital, which is used as a teaching hospital for the Defense University. Therefore, it is the obligation of the Bogor City Government to improve facilities and infrastructure, improve the quality of service, and ensure the readiness of Bogor City's human resources in order to work together to guide these young medical cadets so that they can work to serve the community," said Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim.
The President Director of Bogor City Hospital, Ilham Chaidir, said that to make Bogor City Hospital worthy as a teaching hospital, expansion is certainly needed because it requires various departments.
Such as the department of internal medicine, ENT department, eye department, neurology department, and others. Currently, RSUD continues to grow by carrying out vertical development and expansion.
"There are already 75 young medical cadets studying at the RSUD, plus 75 new young doctors, so the total is 150. They will be rotated in various departments. Hopefully all of them will become pious doctors and
"Pious," he said.
Unhan Chancellor Jonni Mahroza said that today is a historic moment that marks the achievement in the academic journey of the second phase of Unhan student cadets.
As prospective doctors in the field of resilience, the cadets have a heavy responsibility, not only being required in medical science, but also in resilience science.
"This oath also marks an important transition from the theoretical learning phase to practical learning. Today's achievement is also the fruit of hard work, dedication, and perseverance during education at Unhan," he said.
