PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Head of the Bogor City PKK Mobilization Team, Yantie Rachim, attended the Ruang Riung: A Container for Creativity and Tradition activity held at the Bogor City Square, Saturday (16/5/2026).

During the event, Yantie Rachim and the community enjoyed a traditional Sundanese dance performance performed by dancers from the Citra Natana Elsani Studio.

Yantie Rachim said that the Ruang Riung activity is a space of expression for the young generation of Bogor City to gather, be creative, and celebrate the richness of Indonesian art and culture.

According to him, art and culture are a regional identity and pride that must continue to be maintained and preserved.

"The Riung Room is an important facility for showcasing and introducing arts and culture to the public," he said.

He added that the Bogor City Government fully supports this activity because the progress of a city is not only measured by physical development and infrastructure, but also by the growth of culture and creativity of the community.

"We hope the Ruang Riung activities will continue. They are planned to be held biweekly, not only in the town square but also in other public spaces across Bogor City to preserve arts and culture. Residents of Bogor and the surrounding areas are welcome to come and enjoy this traditional arts and culture performance every Saturday night," said Yantie Rachim.

He hopes that this activity can be both entertainment and a means of cultural education for children and families so that they increasingly love and preserve Nusantara culture.

In the future, the arts and culture displayed will not only come from Sundanese culture, but also from various regional cultures in Indonesia, such as Bali, Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Ambon, and Papua.

Ruang Riung also serves as a stage for art studios in Bogor City to showcase their creativity and potential.

Yantie Rachim said that Bogor City Square was chosen as the location for the activity because the area is a public space that is widely used by the community and families for activities.

"There are 28 studios in total. Imagine the studio children who regularly study and practice cultural dance, but don't have a stage to showcase their talents. That's why we're providing them with the opportunity; it's that simple," he said.
